What are you doing to get ready for this next season?
I'm going to try wing shooting phesant with my recurve this fall, so I'm going to practice on thrown disks. Has any one done this before?
Any advice?

OK I'm new to this tribe. It does seem strange though that nobody posts any intersting hunting stories other than ( I shoot a Martin SPD BZA 2000) C'mon, don't be a bunch of sissies, Bowhunting is by far one of the most adrenaline pumped, labor intensive, awe inspiring extreme sports on the planet...............SHARE YOUR STORIES.
Yesterday I had a small buck pass so close under my stand I could have spit on him. Small , big doesn't matter, I was pumped for the day. Regular people don't understand that...

Tomorrow is the first day of bow season in northern NY. I am heading out at 5:30am with some friends to go over to a piece of property that one of my friends has exclusively for dear hunting. My stands are all set up and I am very excited, it's my first time! Wish me luck! I did manage to take a bunny with my bow at about 20yrds, my first kill, except for chickens (doesn't count of course and no, I didn't use my bow):)

looking for someone to learn bow with, i would like to learn how to stalk animals and shoot them with a bow. My father is giving me a traditional style of bow to play with and I am going to learn how to use it then possibly hunt in a year or so. Im looking for a mentor of sorts that is interested in having a younger male tagging along for the adventures.
